The Fiction of Future History

Speaker:

Almost entirely unknown as a writer, deservedly so Nationalists may say, because publication dates of his kiss and tell stories of what went on and wrong in Scotland’s future in the 2020s, and given he writes under a nom de plume, The Professor. He will discuss how writers define history and how re-presenting it also implies new visions of the future. He may reveal unreported facts of a murder in his Edinburgh home in 2023, the theft in 2017 of the UK’s nuclear strike force that shocked the world, and or recall Independence Day in 2016, or tell us what Chief Inspector Wilhemina Porteous really thinks about his accounts of her crime-fighting lives in the real world and on television?
